🥩🥦 Korean Ground Beef and Broccoli

📋 Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (16 oz) ground beef
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper, thinly sliced (optional)
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Cooked rice, for serving

👩‍🍳 Directions:

1️⃣ Cook the Beef
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it apart, until browned (about 5–7 min). Drain excess fat if needed.

2️⃣ Add Aromatics
Stir in minced garlic and ginger. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.

3️⃣ Make the Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Pour over beef and stir well.

4️⃣ Add Veggies
Toss in broccoli and bell pepper (if using). Stir to coat in sauce. Cover and cook 5–7 minutes until broccoli is tender-crisp.

5️⃣ Finish & Serve
Remove from heat. Top with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot over cooked rice.
