Ingredients:
- 1 lemon (freshly squeezed)
- 1-inch piece of fresh ginger root (grated)
- Β½ teaspoon turmeric powder (or freshly grated turmeric)
- 2 cups warm water (not boiling)
- Optional: A pinch of black pepper (to enhance turmeric absorption)
- Optional: 1 teaspoon honey (for taste)
π₯ Instructions:
- Boil the water, then let it cool slightly until warm (not hot).
- Add grated ginger and turmeric.
- Squeeze in the lemon juice.
- Add a pinch of black pepper (optional but recommended for turmeric absorption).
- Stir well. Add honey if needed for sweetness.
- Let it steep for 5β10 minutes. Strain if desired.
- Drink it warm, preferably in the morning on an empty stomach.
